Working with the local community
Vistry and Torus are committed to making Peel Hall a development that benefits everyone. We’ve already supported local projects – such as restoring the Greenwood Community Centre garden and replacing perimeter fencing with help from college students – and there’s more to come.
We’ll continue working closely with local groups, including the college, Cheshire Wildlife Trust, and the Scouts, to create resources such as information boards for wildlife habitats.
We want to hear from you. If you know of ways we can support the local community, please get in touch.

Social Value Strategy
Vistry and Torus have joint social value strategy that focuses on jobs, skills, and local engagement – from apprenticeships and work placements to volunteering and community projects.
Highlights so far include:
- A skills bootcamp run with Warrington & Vale College, leading to local apprenticeships.
- Volunteer days improving Greenwood Community Centre and nearby gardens.
- Donations to community art projects and local employment initiatives.
Skills Academy
Launching in 2026, the Peel Hall Skills Academy will be a key part of our commitment to creating opportunities for local people. Working in partnership with Complete Skills Solutions and Warrington & Vale College, the Academy will offer hands-on training in groundworks, construction, and other trades linked directly to the Peel Hall development.
North Warrington – Community and Social Value Projects
Led by Torus, these projects focus on building a strong sense of community across North Warrington. From creative activities like Orford Rocks and the Sunflower Competition to tree planting, wildlife trails, and digital inclusion projects, each initiative helps bring people together and enhance the local environment. Torus is also supporting skills training and community improvements to ensure lasting benefits for residents.
